Two wins on the trot for Longparish II looking to drag themselves clear of the relegation zone against promotion chasing Dinton. Captain Jackman lost the toss, and in soaring temperatures Dinton chose to bat first. Opening bowlers Matt Paice and Brad Aldridge punished by the “in form” Dinton opening batsmen Combes and Saxby who raced along to 47 from 7 overs. Change bowlers Adam Seidman and Matt Jackman stemmed the flow of runs, Seidman taking a wicket in his first over.
As the mercury climbed and climbed, Longparish admirably stuck to their task, Warren Bonathan and John Young bowled economical spells and Adam Seidman was once again the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 22 from 12 overs, Dinton 200 for 3 at the close.
