Match Report
In a beautiful setting in the New Forest, Longparish captain Mike Wakefield, with only ten available won the toss and elected to field; the Breamore ground still damp from the incessant rain of the previous week. His decision vindicated with the wickets of the two openers with score on 8, Pete Lawrence behind the stumps taking two good catches. Breamore were let off the hook when an unfortunate drop in the deep by Chris de Cani off the bowling of Wakefield was swiftly followed by a partnership of 128. Adam Seidman returning to take two quick wickets with an aggressive spell of bowling. Matt Jackman bowled an economical spell, and Seidman went on to take a further two wickets finishing with 4 for 57, as Breamore closed their innings on 204 for 7.

Adam Lister batted on for another impressive fifty before he too fell to the same fate. William de Cani 23, Mike Wakefield 20 and Steve Benco 17 tried to keep up with the required run rate against an accurate Breamore attack, P Lacey the pick with 4 for 13 from his 12 overs. Longparish eventually dismissed for155 in the 41st over, Matt Jackman running out of partners remaining unbeaten at the close.
