Longparish batted first, Adam Lister passing fifty for the second week in succession with 60 from 62 balls, Andy Lorimer and Justin Jackman both scored 33, before a mini collapse, Penton’s Dave Ling taking all of the first five wickets to fall for 32 runs. Colts William de Cani 16 and Matt Jackman 11 added runs in the final overs as Longparish closed their innings on 185. In reply Penton lost early wickets Longparish bagging a brace of Ling, Mick and son Dave both for a duck with the total still on 1, Mike Wakefield, Matt Paice and Matt Jackman the pick of the Longparish bowlers. Mr P Gibbs scored 55 sharing in two forty plus partnerships, firstly with Stefan Hares and secondly with L Rickwood, his innings proving to be a match winning one as he rode his luck to see Penton to victory by 4 wickets with 14 balls to spare.
