A youthful Longparish under 15 side, containing two under fifteens and nine under thirteens, took on an experienced Andover B side. Longparish opened the batting, vice captain Alex Coetzee falling early against a talented pair of opening bowlers. William de Cani played an expansive shot that was caught by the cover fielder bringing together the two under fifteens, Ollie Lee and Andy Roberts both of whom batted superbly, putting on 68 for the third wicket before Ollie Lee was dismissed by Jamie Fluen for 18, Roberts batted on in partnership with Ben Gardner and Sam Woodward, finally falling for 29 as Longparish closed their innings on 113 for 5 from 20 overs. In reply Andover batted well. At the half way mark were bang on the run rate at 56 for 1 with George Staff retired on 30; William Jackman taking the only wicket to fall. With the light fading Longparish struck back with some superb bowling, An economical spell by William de Cani coupled with some accurate bowling by Sam Woodward 3 for 16, Ben Gardner 2 for 19 and William Jackman 2 for 22 skittled Andover who came up 13 runs short in their twenty overs; a superb performance by Longparish against an older and more experienced side.
