A young Sparsholt side batted first, finding scoring difficult against some superb bowling by William Jackman who took 3 wickets from two overs without conceding a run. Alex and Oliver Coetzee took a wicket each and William de Cani 2 as Sparsholt were bowled out for 85. O Birnie 17 and R Duckworth 16 the top scorers. In reply Longparish put on 44 for the first wicket, Michael Taplin the first to fall for 16. Alex Coetzee batted on to 30 and retirement, Longparish passing the Sparsholt total with 3 wickets down in the 14th over.
